Objectives
One aim of the HAVEit project is to develop very innovative and also different technologies and new HMI-concepts. Due to this demand it is beneficial to have rapid prototyping methods and tools in the project. The advantage is that even in an early state of development new systems or even parts of it can be already tested in a real vehicle. For this reason two rapid prototyping platforms are available in HAVEit. The first one is DLRs drive-by-wire vehicle FASCar which performs easy integration methods of new DBW-technologies. The HAVEit joint system will be demonstrated in this sub-project. The second test-vehicle is the BBW-truck developed by Haldex. The main focus is to integrate a fully electrical brake-by-wire-system without mechanical feedback into a truck.
