Expected Results
A new steer-by-wire system will be developed and integrated in the DLR research vehicle FASCar. In conjunction with the electronic command interfaces to brake and throttle, this will provide unprecedented freedom for the design of new HMI concepts. The joint system, also to be integrated into the FASCar, will fully exploit these features, thus enable to demonstrate the full HAVEit range of DBW-functionalities on a specific test track. Also different types of sensors which support these activities will be integrated and tested. Furthermore an electronic wedge brake system developed for trucks will be integrated and tested in a real truck.
As a third result, a way of implementation of selected HAVEit functionalities for mid-term serial application will be shown.
